Ethos

動く Uguko Movement is a Collaborative Artist Studio
located in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Ugoku Movement combines Japanese traditions with Nordic
simplicity, also know as Japandi. My Original Artwork is
easily recognized by its clear dark and light contrast with a reference to the Asian Calligraphy. Ugoku is a Japanese word meaning “to move”.

Each brush stroke is lead by the intuition. It takes a long time before my mind loosens its grip, for then letting the intuition lead the brush. I instantly know if a brush stroke feels wrong, and it is a challenge to stop in time, before the painting is completely black. Your intuition arises as a feeling within your body that only you experience. Meaning trusting your intuition is the ultimate act of trusting yourself.
